Glitter is the herpes of craft

Glitter is the herpes of craft

Once you have it, you can never get rid of it.

My friend told me this about a month ago, I like the saying and it also made me miss playing with glitter. I googled to find out where it came from and it was Demetri Martin who said it, you can see the original quote at comedy central’s website.

There’s lots of craft using the quote on the internet, so this is nothing original, but now I have my own so I’m happy. Obviously I was concerned about the risk of infecting not only myself but my whole house and those who inhabit it, I don’t want to anger the giant spider who lives in the kitchen window frame. So to minimise the risk I set up a Dexter style kill room of plastic, put on my hazmat suit and got my sparkle on. So far I have shown little to no signs of glitter infection.

Here’s the how to: To get the fonts I wanted I did it on the computer first and printed it onto the paper so it was really light and I could only just see it. Then I got a fine paint brush and went over the letters with glue and sprinkled glitter on them.
